Why did you think you would graduate because of it?

I am loath to ascribe any amount of faith to the established system, but because it's what the Admiral gave you. You being a Warden, I thought you might have some greater knowledge to impart to me.

The Admiral gave it to me as an answer to your question about your hometown. He didn't say it would help you graduate.

I had - hoped - that it would give you some peace of mind, to know the people of Oakvale are at rest.

When I asked about them, I most certainly wasn't volunteering to put them there myself.

Was I wrong? Would you rather this hadn't happened?

No. The point is that you say you hate the fact you returned to Oakvale, but you stayed far longer than you needed to. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm choosing to believe that means that what we did is important to you.
